Suspension & Steering

Is your car shaking, pulling, or riding rough? We diagnose and repair shocks, struts, tie rods, and inner tie rods — restoring control, comfort, and safety.

Diagnostic Guide

Why Is Your Car Shaking?

Shaking, vibration, and pulling can come from multiple sources — often more than one at a time. Here are the most common culprits we see every day:

Worn Tie Rods: Causes shimmy and vibration felt through the steering wheel — especially at highway speeds.
Bad Shocks or Struts: Leads to bouncing after bumps, nose diving under braking, and swaying in turns.
Unbalanced Tires: Causes vibration at specific speed ranges — usually 55–70 mph.
Worn Wheel Bearings: Creates a humming or grinding noise that increases with speed.
Alignment Issues: Causes pulling to one side and accelerated, uneven tire wear.

* A full suspension inspection identifies exactly what's causing your vehicle's symptoms — eliminating guesswork and unnecessary repairs.

What We Service

Suspension & Steering Components

Shocks

Shock absorbers dampen the up-and-down movement of your suspension. Worn shocks cause bouncy rides, longer stopping distances, and increased tire wear.

Struts

Struts are a structural part of your suspension system. Failed struts affect steering control, ride quality, and overall vehicle stability — especially during emergency maneuvers.

Outer Tie Rods

Outer tie rods connect your steering rack to the wheel. Worn tie rods cause loose, wandering steering and uneven tire wear. They're a major cause of front-end shaking.

Inner Tie Rods

Inner tie rods connect the steering rack to the outer tie rod. Worn inner tie rods cause clunking, poor alignment, and instability at highway speeds.

One Worn Part Usually Means More Are Coming

Suspension components wear at similar rates because they share the same loads and conditions. When one tie rod is worn, the others likely aren't far behind. When we service your suspension, we do a complete inspection of all related components so you know exactly what you're working with — no surprises later.

  • Full inspection of shocks, struts, tie rods, ball joints, and bushings included.
  • We show you what we find — no unnecessary upsells, just honest assessments.
  • Addressing multiple components at once saves labor cost vs. multiple service visits.

Always Get an Alignment After Suspension Work

Any time tie rods or struts are replaced, your wheel alignment is affected. Driving on a misaligned vehicle after suspension repairs will cause your new parts to wear unevenly — rapidly. A post-repair alignment protects your investment and ensures your vehicle tracks straight.

Shaking Could Also Be Your Tires

Worn, unbalanced, or improperly inflated tires are one of the most common causes of vibration. If your suspension checks out, your tires might be the culprit. Ask us about our New Tire Purchase & Install service.
